How well can the Titan RTX run games
Nvidia Titan RTX
10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

The Titan RTX will blast beyond the majority of games requirements at 1080p, so crank up your screen resolution to 1440p or 4K and let the beautiful AAA game visuals wash over you. This is how gaming is meant to be played but you are likely to have to pay top dollar for the Titan RTX privilege. But if you can get this graphics solution, then its happy gaming.

Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 12 requirement.

How well will the Titan RTX run 2023 games? We will take a look at the biggest releases and frames per second analysis on Ultra graphics settings. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 1000 games in the list.

A Titan RTX card at 1080p is seeing a good frame rate when running Far Cry 6 on Ultra - 76 FPS. Lets look at the performance its getting on Forza Horizon 5 which is 84 FPS. To add a bit more variety lets see how the popular Grand Theft Auto VI is predicted to perform on this hardware, which gets a good 77 FPS.

Increasing resolution to 1440p is something a number of PC gamers are doing today. We tested the Titan RTX at 1440p with Far Cry 6, which got a reasonable set of FPS results. These were, Low: 152 FPS, Medium: 120 FPS, High: 81 FPS and Ultra: 58 FPS. We then checked out Forza Horizon 5 which had a set of graphics results as followed, L: 168FPS, M: 132FPS, H: 89FPS, U: 64FPS. And another popular game was Grand Theft Auto VI with predictions of L: 155FPS, M: 122FPS, H: 82FPS, U: 59FPS at 1440p. Looking at a few of these 1440p results for the Titan RTX we get the impression that it is more than capable at running this screen resolution. 1440p Ultra across almost all modern games is going to be fairly standard with this GPU. We would consider moving this hardware up to 4K screen resolutions for PC gaming today.

How many years will the Titan RTX graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the Titan RTX in your PC? A top gaming graphics card choice, the Titan RTX will not need to be upgraded for at least 3+ years of AAA gaming at top graphics settings

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the Titan RTX? There are no graphics cards on the current market that would provide a big enough increase in performance to warrant upgrading the Titan RTX.

Titan RTX Game Requirement Analysis

Overview The Nvidia Titan RTX is the top RTX 20 Series graphics card and considered an Enthusiast graphics card based on the Turing architecture. Architecture The Turing architecture represents a process shrink down to 12nm compared to 14nm Pascal. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing technology, or RTX. GPU It equips a GPU Codenamed Turing TU102-400A-A1 which has 4608 Shader Processing Units, 288 TMUs, and 96 ROPs. The central unit runs at 1350MHz and goes up to 1750MHz in Boost mode. It also has 576 Tensor Cores for AI purposes and 72 RT Cores for real-time ray-tracing. Memory The GPU accesses a 24GB frame buffer of first-gen GDDR6 memory through a 384-bit memory interface, while the Memory clock operates at 1750MHz, or 14GHz effective. Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 280W, it requires at least a 650W PSU with two 8-pin power connectors. System Suggestions Nvidia Titan RTX is best suited for resolutions up to and including 3840x2160. We recommend a top-End Processor and at least 16GB of RAM for optimal performance.
