Despite a rocky announcement, the upcoming reboot of the Saints Row series is still highly anticipated, and with less than a week to go until its launch the developers have finally revealed what kind of hardware we will need to run it at its best across various different resolutions...
Saints Row is officially being released on August 23rd exclusively on the Epic Games Store. From what we've seen already the new title looks pretty bonkers, but the PC specs are thankfully not too demanding. Though you will need an SSD if you want to reach that 60fps threshold.
With that said, let's jump in and take a look at the official Saints Row PC system requirements...
Saints Row Minimum system requirements - 1080p/30fps
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-3240 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU RAM: 4GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 480
- DX: 11
- Storage: 50GB
Saints Row Recommended system requirements - 1080p/60fps
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
- RAM: 12GB
- GPU RAM: 8GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
- DX: 12
- Storage: 50GB SSD
Saints Row High system requirements - 1440p/60fps
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU RAM: 8GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
- DX: 12
- Storage: 50GB SSD
Saints Row Ultra system requirements - 4K/60fps
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-12600 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU RAM: 12GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
- DX: 12
- Storage: 50GB SSD
Your PC will need a graphics card that is as powerful as a GTX 1070 or RX 5700, which should then be paired with either a Core i7-6700K or Ryzen 5 1500X processor in order to meet the Saints Rown recommended system requirements. This should then deliver 60fps performance at 1080p, likely on High graphics settings. 12GB of RAM is also recommended.
The Saints Row minimum system requirements need a GTX 970 or RX 480 GPU, coupled with a Core i3-3240 or Ryzen 3 1200 CPU. With these specs you should then be able to achieve 30fps performance at 1080p resolution, likely on Low graphics settings. 8GB of system memory is needed at minimum.
Overall, looking at the specs above, Saints Row will require around a 6 year old PC in order to play at its best.
As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Saints Row System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. It would be fun to see an "are you planning to upgrade your pc in the next 6 months" up for debate. I feel like most reasonable people didn't buy much in hardware in 2 years and now that the parts are old and new are inbound I would expect to see quite a few people willing to do a build overhaul.

i was thinking about it, i really want to get RTX4080/4080ti when they come out but there is bunch of things that i am worried about, like first of will my psu be able to handle it its a quality unit but still 750w looking at rtx3000 and their tdp it makes me worried,
next thing is how much will the pcie difference be, i watched couple of videos about rtx3090 in pcie4.0 vs 3.0 and the difference is minimal on the other hand difference on some amd gpus are night and day, will i have to upgrade cpu and mobo as well.
And the final thing is will i7 9700k be able to handle it, i mean it would be a waste of getting such an expensive gpu just for it to be bottlenecked hard by cpu and pcie slot

An SFX sf750 corsair PSU is able to run a RTX 3090 stock with a 12(7/9)00k if you have a solid unit I wouldn't worry. As long as you don't experience any tripping, it should be fine. As for PCIe 3.0 for RTX 4080+ I also don't expect any bottleneck but if you're worried most reviewers will almost immediately test PCIe bandwidth.

I have it on good reliable information that Game-Debate have started working with some Malware providers. They fired half their writing staff while enabling their malware partners to post scams and trojan's on the site. Worse than that, they intend to start implementing malware into their popups and other site meta data.
It's a real tragedy watching this one great site die.

Bold claims, did you hear it on the internet? I think it's rather simple, this site's maintenance is probably a skeleton crew/they don't care enough and so 1 autistic boi thought spamming accounts and linking scam sites was a great idea on a ENTHUSIAST PC GAMING SITE, bet they're reeling in all the 60+ year old pc gamers.
